Green and Fresh

A new website selling local produce direct from the farm gate to the consumer will launch in the Autumn, opening up a new national marketplace for local producers across the country.

The website gives small producers the unique opportunity to become part of an online cooperative, making them more accessible to a nationwide consumer base by providing a one-stop-shop for consumers looking to buy fresh, local produce.  By having numerous producers on one site, greenandfresh.co.uk will provide shoppers with the choice and convenience previously unavailable outside of supermarkets.

All sorts of producers will be eligible to sign up to the site. Fresh fruit and veg, quality meat and cheeses, micro-brewery tipples and more are set to be sold through greenandfresh.co.uk.

Producers can register their goods on the website from this month before the site launches to consumers.

Green and Fresh will process all orders, arrange collection and delivery and pay local producers for their orders twice a month. Green and Fresh’s aim is to make it as easy as possible for producers to join the site and start selling, allowing them to concentrate on what they do best.

For more details. see the site
